Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Maureen O'Keefe was born in Sidney Ohio in 1980. She works primarily in acrylic paint on wood panel. Maureen received her BFA in Fine Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005. She has held solo exhibitions in Georgia and Ohio; she has had work included in group exhibitions in Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. She is the recipient of a 2019 Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council. She has also received numerous drawing and painting awards locally. Her works are held in private collections in five states. Maureen is an active member of the Contemporary Dayton, and is currently employed at the Dayton Art Institute and Edison State Community College. Artist's Statement My work...
