Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The Alpine town of Annecy, in the Haute-Savoie region of South Eastern France, has a history going as far back as Roman times. In a picturesque location, settled between mountains and lake, this beautiful area just oozes old world charm. A leisurely walk along the canal is the perfect way to spend an afternoon, stopping to take in the pastel coloured facades, complete with red tile roofs, towering French Alps as a backdrop. Pictured here is Palais de L'Ile, a landmark monument with a history dating back to the 12th century. Once used as a courthouse, prison and adminitstrative office, it is now a museum. I hand blended a little texture with my original vintage style photograph, to compliment the historic feel of this old world French canal scene.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
