Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

I have always loved this weed! Maybe the name, Queen Anne's Lace gave it a certain kind of beauty to my mind as a child, along with the story of the Queen pricking her finger and a crop of blood landed in the center of this flower! As a grown-up, I still can't help but see beauty here! Daucus carota is its formal name, but it has many common names as well! Names that include wild carrot, (UK) bird's nest, bishop's lace, and Queen Anne's lace (North America.) I was a bit surprised to find that this plant is actually edible! I enjoy seeing these pop up all over my wild garden every summer!
